Our office accepts most types of dental insurance. Typically,
your dental insurance will pay 100% preventive procedures and 50% or more
for restorative and deep cleaning procedures up to an annual maximum depending on the plan. As a courtesy, we will submit the claim for you after any treatments are completed.
PPO's or preferred provider plans: This plan requires patients
to choose from list of dentists who has contracts with the specific
insurance company with certain percentage of reduced fees. Most
PPO plans allow the patients to choose dentists outside the list
at a less coverage which sometimes can be negligible.
Capitation plan: This is a plan is where the insurance company
agrees to pay the dentist set amount per patient under the plan
regardless whether the patient sees the dentist or not.
Direct Reimbursement: Under this type of plan employers set aside
pre-tax dollars from the employee's paycheck to pay for the dental
costs. This is very beneficial to patients because it allows a patient
to see any dentist of their choice and is not as restricted to both
the patients and dentists.
Dental insurance can be extremely confusing. If you have
any questions, we will be more than happy to answer your questions.
We are equipped with a staff in our office that is very knowledgeable
in this area. Having a dental benefit is great, and we will be glad
to help you receive and maximize the benefit by submitting the claim.
However, it is the patient who has direct contract with their insurance
company and ultimately the patient's responsibility to deal with the
insurance company if any problem arises.
We want to emphasize that it is the responsibility of our office to
ensure that we offer the best and appropriate treatments to our
patients regardless of what and how much the insurance will cover.
We want to make sure that you receive the best care you deserve.
